St. Paul, MN - The 2026 Indoor Track and Field awards were officially released on Wednesday, and MLC had 10 athletes named All-UMAC for their performance last weekend at the Indoor Championships. There, the Knights totaled 206 points, which was only behind the host school, UW-Superior, which scored 264 points.
Jeremiah Stanton was the top scoring athlete of the meet, finishing in the top six in five separate events, including the 60m hurdles (3rd, 8.92 seconds), 400m (3rd, 52.82 seconds), 4x200m relay (1st, 1:32.05), long jump (1st, 6.50m - new MLC indoor record), and high jump (6th, 1.70m).
The other nine athletes were
Isaiah Durkee, Eliott Heiderich, Samuel Plocher, R.J. Perry, Martin Raasch, Arthur Robinson, Ryan Schmidt, Micah Vanderhoof, and Stephen Wietzke.
Durkee threw the shot put (PR) 14.08 meters for second, while Perry turned in another good result after breaking multiple Indoor records this season, placing second in the weight throw (14.76 meters). Perry was also the MLC Individual Sportsmanship. Heiderich hit a PR in the 800-meter to take second in the race (2:02.66). Plocher earned first in the High Jump with a mark of 2.06 meters, clearing the next highest jumper of 1.90 meters. Plocher also hit a new MLC Indoor record with 2.06 meters, breaking his previous high of 2.04 meters. The junior also ran the 60m hurdles in 8.40 seconds for second place in the event.
Raasch, Stanton, Robinson, and Wietzke were the four runners in the 4x200m relay team that took first with a mark of 1:32.05.
Vanderhoof also hit a PR in the 800m (2:03.66), while Schmidt jumped 1.80m in the high jump to gain recognition.
