St. Paul, MN - The MLC men's tennis team lost
7-0, while the women's team fell
6-1 in nonconference matches on the road at Hamline University on Monday.
The Pipers did not allow a point to be scored in three doubles games.
Eli Stern challenged in No. 2 singles with a 3-6, 5-7 result.
Silas Hillmer took his No. 6 singles opponent to 4-6, 2-6.
On the women's side, Hamline took two out of three doubles games to claim one point. However, the Knights did manage to record a victory in No. 3 doubles with a 6-4 win from
Mathilde Bodenbender-Benner and
Elizabeth Bigelow.
In No. 1 singles,
Britney Prahl came back in her second set and won a third-set tiebreaker 0-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5). MLC also brought in another point in No. 3 singles when
Rebekah Schroeder fell 6-7 (0-1), 1-6.
MLC tennis will host Bethany on Tuesday, April 21, at 3 p.m.
