Rebecca Cox finished her 13th season at the helm of the MLC volleyball program in 2021.
 
In her first 12 seasons, Cox has led the Knights to a record of 143-202 and eight UMAC Postseason Tournament appearances.
 
During her tenure, Cox has coached 18 First Team All-UMAC performers, and was named Coach of the Year in the UMAC after leading the Knights to a third-place finish in the conference standings and a record of 18-13. 

Cox's teams have also excelled in the classroom, finishing with the highest team grade point average (GPA) in the UMAC in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Her teams have been recognized for their academics by the AVCA in each of her 12 seasons.

After missing the UMAC Postseason Tournament in her first season (2009), Cox and the Knights recorded eight consecutive trips to the tournament over the next eight seasons. 

Prior to coming to MLC, Cox was the varsity volleyball coach at Michigan Lutheran HS for 17 years, where she accumulated 385 wins to go with nine conference championships and four district championships. She was named Region 10 MIVCA Coach of the Year in 2008, and also coached the 2004 Sportsfest MI All-Stars.
 
Cox also served as an assistant coach on the men’s and women’s track and field teams at MLC before finishing in that role in 2018. .
 
Cox and her husband, Randy (MLC Head Baseball Coach), have two children - Austin and Mason. Rebecca Cox also serves as a Physical Education professor and Senior Woman Administrator at MLC.
