Rebecca Cox enters her first year as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in 2026. She also serves as Senior Women Administrator (SWA) for athletics, a role she's held for 13 years.
 
Prior to moving into athletic administration, Cox coached MLC volleyball for 13 seasons. She led the Knights to a record of 143-202 and 10 UMAC Tournament appearances.
 
During her tenure, Cox coached 18 First Team All-UMAC performers, and was named coach of the year in the UMAC after leading the Knights to a third-place finish in the conference with a record of 18-13 in 2011. Cox also won UMAC Coach of the Year in her final year (2021).

Cox's teams excelled in the classroom, finishing with the highest team grade point average in the UMAC every year from 2011-2020. Her teams were recognized for their academics by the American Volleyball Coaches Association in each of her 13 seasons.

Cox has served as the SWA Chair of the UMAC for six years and has attended the NCAA SWA program.

After missing the UMAC Postseason Tournament in her first season (2009), Cox and the Knights recorded eight consecutive trips to the tournament over the next eight seasons. 

Prior to coming to MLC, Cox was the varsity volleyball coach at Michigan Lutheran HS for 17 years, where she accumulated 385 wins to go with nine conference championships and four district championships. She was named Region 10 Michigan Volleyball Coaches Association coach of the year in 2008, and also coached the 2004 Sportsfest MI All-Stars.
 
Cox also served as an assistant coach on the men’s and women’s track and field teams at MLC before finishing in that role in 2018. .
 
Cox and her husband, Randy (head baseball coach), have two children - Austin and Mason. Rebecca Cox also serves as a physical education professor.
