NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College volleyball team was unable to slow St. Scholastica in a 3-0 loss by the scores of 25-13, 25-13 and 25-16.
The Saints took control of the match from the beginning, hitting .248 on the attack compared to .000 for MLC for the match.
MLC struggled with errors throughout, committing 23 attack errors, four service errors, and four ball-handling errors in the match.
Jade St. Germaine and
Kira Grev finished with nine and eight kills, respectively, while
Grace Schultz hit .214 to lead the team on her 14 attack attempts.
Emily Neeb finished with 12 kills to lead MLC, while
Rylee Weisensel's three blocks led the Knights, as well.
MLC fell to 4-17 on the season and 3-2 in UMAC play with the loss. CSS improved to 12-8 overall and 3-2 in league play with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Monday, October 12, when they travel to Buena Vista. That match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
