STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Martin Luther College volleyball team lost 3-0 at Buena Vista on Monday by the scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 26-24.
The Beavers jumped on the Knights in each of the frist two sets to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
MLC worked to extend the match in the third set, coming back from an early deficit to take a late 24-23 lead, but BVU was able to close the set with the fnial three straight points to win the match.
Kira Grev finished with a team-best nine kills, and also tied for the team lead with nine assists. MLC finished the match with an attack percentage of -.031 compared to .341 for BVU.
Emily Neeb led the Knights with 11 digs.
MLC fell to 4-18 on the season with the loss, while Buena Vista improved to 15-8 with the win.
The Knights will return to action on Friday, October 16, when they play in the two-day tournament at UW-Oshkosh. The first match at that tournament starts at 5:30 p.m. against Colorado College.
