OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Martin Luther College volleyball team lost 3-0 to a pair of nationally ranked opponents at the UW-Oshkosh Volleyball Invitational on Friday.

Colorado College 3, MLC 0

The Knights lost 3-0 in the first match of the two-day tournament to Colorado College by the scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-8.

Colorado College entered the week ranked number eight in all of NCAA Division III and showed its quality in the match, hitting .413 on the attack while limiting the Knights on their attack.

Jade St. Germaine led MLC with five kills while Kira Grev finished with a team-high 11 assists. 

Emily Neeb finished with a team-best ten digs for MLC.

UW-Stevens Point 3, MLC 0

The competition didn't get any easier in the second match, as UW-Stevens Point was ranked 17th in the nation entering the week and defeated he Knights in three games by the scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 25-16.

MLC finished with eight blocks, but UWSP was able to still hit .292 on the attack.

Rylee Weisensel led MLC with six kills and four blocks. Laura Schoenherr finished with a team-high ten assists. 

MLC fell to 4-16 on the season with the two defeats. Colorado College improved to 25-1, while UW-Stevens Point improved to 19-6 on the season.

The Knights will return to action at the tournament with matches againt Illinois Wesleyan (10 a.m.) and UW-Oshkosh (2 p.m.) on Saturday.
