NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College volleyball team lost in three to Minnesota Morris by the scores of 25-19, 25-16 and 25-21 Wednesday.
The Cougars entered the night tied for first place in the conference, and were able to take control early in the match by hitting .300 and .303 in the first two sets to take a 2-0 lead.
The Knights battled in the third set in an attempt to force an extra set, but was unable to catch UMM down the stretch.
Jade St. Germaine led MLC with ten kills, while
Kira Grev finished with eight kills, nine digs and nine assists.
Emily Neeb led MLC with 17 digs.
The Knights fell to 4-23 overall and 3-3 in UMAC play in defeat, while UMM improved to 17-10 on the season and 5-0 in league play following the win.
MLC will return to action on Tuesday, October 27, when it travels to Crown College for a match scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
