EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The Martin Luther College volleyball team lost both games on the second day of the Sandy Schumacher Tournament hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Saturday. MLC lost the first match to UW-Eau Claire 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-20), and then lost 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-22) to close the tournament against UW-Oshkosh.

MLC lost to the host Blugolds 3-0 to open the day.
UWEC entered the match as one of the top teams in the WIAC, and showed why as they topped the Knights in three sets.Â
Jade St. Germaine led MLC with nine kills, and also joined
Ruth Buchholz and
Rylee Weisensel in tying for the team lead with four blocks.
Emily Neeb led the team with six digs.
UW-Oshkosh 3, MLC 0
The Knights closed the two-day tournament with a 3-0 defeat to UW-Oshkosh, another top team in the WIAC so far this season.
Weisensel led MLC with an attack percentage of .714, and added a team-best four blocks.
Kira Grev led the team in kills (eight).
The Knights fell to 9-19 on the season with the two losses.Â
MLC will return to action on Tuesday, October 18, when it travels to Minnesota Morris. That match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
