MLC Women Lose 7-2 at UW-Stout

RESULTS

MENOMONIE, Wis. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost a non-conference match at UW-Stout 7-2 on Monday.

The Knights opened in a 3-0 deficit after UWS swept the doubles matches by the scores of 8-2, 8-2 and 8-6.

In singles play, MLC earned two points, thanks to a three-set (3-6, 7-6, 10-4) win by Rachel Riediger in the number two spot, and a 6-4, 6-3 win by Morgan Shevey in the number six spot, but the Knights were unable to earn any other points in defeat.

MLC fell to 1-7 on the season with the loss. UW-Stout improved its record to 6-7 with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Wednesday, April 13, when they host Minnesota Morris in the home opener. That match is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
