NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College volleyball team was unable to slow down UMAC-champion Northwestern (Minn.) in a 3-0 loss in Saturday's regular season finale.
The Eagles controlled the match from the start, winning the three sets by the scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-13.
The Knights hit .066 for the match, but were unable to slow down UNW as it finished with an attack efficiency of .351.
Grace Schultz led MLC with eight kills, followed by
Jade St. Germaine with seven kills.Â
Taylor Weber led MLC with five digs.
MLC fell to 15-16 on the season and 10-6 in UMAC play in defeat. UNW improved to 29-6 overall and 15-0 in league play with the win.
The Knights finished the season in fourth place in the UMAC standings. MLC will now host St. Scholastica in the opening round of the UMACÂ Postseason Tournament on Monday, October 30, at 7 p.m. in a match-up between the fourth and fifth seeds in the tournament. The winner of that match will advance to face UNW on Wednesday, November 1, in the semi-final round.Â
