ST. PAUL - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team dropped both matches by the score of 9-0 in a Saturday morning triangular against Northwestern (Minn.) and UW-Eau Claire .

UNW opened strong with a sweep of the three doubles matches by the scores of 8-3, 8-0 and 8-3, and then went on to take all six singles matches in straight sets.

In the second match of the day against the Blugolds, the Knights dropped the three doubles matches by the scores of 8-4, 8-2 and 8-2 before losing all six singles matches.

The Knights fell to 5-9 on the season following the two defeats, and also moved to 5-4 in UMAC play after the conference loss to Northwestern.

MLC will play its regular season finale at Minnesota Morris on Friday, April 28. That match is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
