MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College volleyball team lost 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-12) at Minnesota Morris on Tuesday.
The Cougars were in command from the opening serve, winning the first set 25-11 as the Knights struggled with nine attack errors and three more service errors.
MLC started strong in the second set and trailed 17-15, but the Cougars closed the set with eight of the final nine points before closing the match with a strong third game.
The Cougars hit .397 for the match and added 10 service aces. MLC finished with an attack efficiency of .026.

Ruth Buchholz led MLC with five kills apiece, with Aguilar also adding seven digs and two aces.
Katelyn Aswege led the team with 10 digs.
MLC dropped to 6-21 overall and 6-7 in the UMACÂ with the loss. UMM improved to 18-10 on the season and 12-3 in league play with the win.
The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Wednesday, October 17) when they travel to St. Olaf for a match scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
