The #3 ranked and UMAC preseason favorite University of Northwestern Eagles defeated the Knights in three sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-14) on Saturday, October 1, at MLC.
The Knights started off slow with two errors and the Eagles capitalized on that from the beginning. The Knights could not get anything to connect during the first set, losing 25-15. The Eagles kept their momentum for the rest of the game putting up twenty-seven kills over the span of the next two sets, while the Knights had only fifteen. The UNW Eagles moved to 14-1 on the year and 4-0 in the UMAC.
MLC leaders featured Kylie Wolf with fourteen assists, Grace Kieselhorst with seven kills, and Naomi Bridgemen with seven digs.
The Knights fall to 6-11 on the year, 2-3 in the UMAC.  The Knights travel to Morris, Minnesota, next Friday to face the UM-Morris Cougars in a UMAC match at 7 p.m. Â
