The Knights split  their two matches over homecoming weekend, losing to Morris (17-25, 10-25, 19-25) and winning against Crown (25-17, 25-17, 25-20).
Against Minnesota Morris on Friday, October 7, the Knights started rough and could not get momentum in the first or second set. During the third set, the Knights went back and forth for the first half of the set but after a kill by Morris' Sydney Eckhoff, the Knights could not recover. The Knights lost 0-3 in the match.
The leaders for the match were Kylie Wolf with thirteen assists and Hannah Willems and Lydia Feidt both with six kills.
The Knights came back motivated on Saturday, October 8 against Crown. With a close battle to start set one, the Knights took control of the set after a kill from Lauren Paulsen. With seventeen kills in the set, the Knights won 25-17.
The Knights kept the pace going in the second set. Capitalizing off of errors from Crown, the Knights built a fourteen point lead. However, the Knights struggled to finish the match and game at set point. The Knights, however, established dominance and won the second match 25-17.
The Knights did not win the third set as easy. With a constant battle, the Knights regrouped and finished the set with a 25-20 win taking the victory with a 3-0 win.
Grace Kieselhorst had eleven kills against Crown along with fourteen assists.
MLC is now 7-12 on the year and 3-4 in the UMAC. The Knights next will face the Bethany Vikings their second time of the season at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11.
