The Knights lost to the Bethany Lutheran Vikings in three sets (22-25, 18-25, 14-25) in Mankato, MN, on Tuesday, October 11.
The Knights were competitive in the first ten points of the match. After a kill by the Vikings' Rilee Hohbein, the Knights could not recover. However, the Knights battled back after a few kills and took advantage of the Vikings' errors. With twelve kills on the set, it was not enough to overcome the lead. The Vikings won 25-22.
During set two, the Knights kept the Vikings on their toes, but could not take the lead in the set. The Knights battled back after a five-point deficit to tie up the game, but the Vikings would not surrender the lead. After a kill by the Viking's player Paloma Garcia De Fuentes, the Knights oscored only once compared to the Vikings' seven points.
The leaders for the Knights in assists was Kylie Wolf with twelve, seven digs by Naomi Bridgemen, and Grace Kieselhorst with nine kills.
The Knights fall to 7-13 on the year and 3-5 in the UMAC.  The Knights will play at home on Friday, October 14 ,at 7 p.m. against the Wisconsin--Superior Yellowjackets.
