New Ulm, MN - The MLC women's team were unable to get much going offensively in a
59-42 loss against UW-Superior. The Knights shot 26.3 percent from the field and went 1-of-11 in the final quarter, giving the Yellowjackets the opportunity to pull away from their single digit lead.
The Knights had two players in double figures, with
Emma Nelson and
Lydia Feidt both scoring 10 apiece. Feidt was also active in the passing lanes, recording 3 steals. For UW-Superior,
Elise Besonen scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting and
Kaelyn Christian contributed with 11 points. The Yellowjackets benefited from 20 Knight turnovers, giving them additional possessions. MLC played good team defense overall forcing UW-Superior to shoot only 31.7 percent on two-point attempts and 5-of-20 from deep.
MLC falls to
(4-5,0-2) on the season and will travel to Storm Lake, Iowa on (Friday, December 16th) when they play Buena Vista in their final game before Christmas break.
