The Knights were defeated by the UW-Superior Yellowjacket in four sets on Friday, September 23 with the scores of 25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 17-25.

The Knights and the Yellowjackets both came out fighting in the first match with a consistent back-and-forth rally. With both teams having an "attack by set" percentage of over sixty percent, the Knights took that set from Superior.

That loss did not keep the Yellowjackets quiet, however. With a back-and-forth rally to start the second match, the Yellowjackets took control and did not give the Knights many free points. The Yellowjackets kept that control in the following match. With only six errors from the Yellowjackets, the Knights struggled to match that low error number. However, the Knights had a total of thirteen kills in the match with every hitter having at least two kills. 

The Knights could not get enough momentum to stop the Yellow Jackets from winning the fourth set. Although they had 48 kills in the match, it was not enough to win. The leaders for tonight's game in digs was Naomi Bridgemen with fourteen, 21 assists by Grace Kieselhorst, and eleven kills by Hannah Willems.

The Knights will play Northland on September 24 at 1 p.m. in Ashland, Wisconsin.
