Winthrop, MN - The Martin Luther College men's cross country team took
second at the UMAC Championship on Saturday, with a team score of 66 points.
UW-Superior finished in first with a score of 17 points, as Northwestern earned the third spot (97 points).
The MLC men had to endure cold temperatures at the meet and senior
Caleb Lash had the top finish of the event (26:58.5), putting himself sixth overall out of 64 participants.
Camden Sulzle was right behind Lash in the 8K, pacing in at 27:21.3 for 14th overall. Junior
Micah Schibbelhut took 25th, with a mark of 27:38.0, while
Joshua Zander crossed the finish line just after his teammate (27:39.8) to take 37th.
The men finished in second for a third consecutive season under head coach
Mark Weinkauf and remained consistent throughout the year as a collective unit.
