St. Paul, MN - The Martin Luther College women's basketball team fell
78-36 in its away contest at Hamline University on Wednesday evening.
The Pipers were led by their balanced depth and had four players in double figures, including 25 bench points. Overall, the Hamline offense put up high quality looks and connected on them with a 43.3 shooting percentage.
MLC would commit 24 turnovers that played into the hands of Hamline's gameplan and the Pipers would capitalize with 33 points off of turnovers.
Anna Kieselhorst did provide a bright spot for the Knights and had a team-high 10 points in her second collegiate game as a freshman, while
Jordyn Heckendorf added nine points for the MLC backcourt.
The women (0-2) will move on to play its home opener on Saturday, November 18, when the Knights take on Macalester College from the MIAC. Tipoff is at 3 p.m.
