New Ulm, MN - The Martin Luther College men's golf team claimed the 2023 Wittenburg Cup over rival, Bethany on Thursday evening. The Knights had a team score of 316 in the Par 70, edging out the Vikings, who had a team score of 325.Ā
Paul Frick shot a 75 (+5), which was the best score of his senior season to date. The result was good enough to put him third overall between the two teams.
Sam Hansen followed right behind Frick in fourth place, shooting a 77 (+7).
Jordan Otto finished in fifth with his score of 79 (+9), while
Austin Schwab shot an 82 (+12), putting him in sixth.

The Knights will continue their season in a two day tournament up at UW-Superior over the weekend (Sept. 9 & 10). The matches will occur at the Nemadji Golf Course in Superior, WI.
