Morris, MN - The MLC volleyball team fell in
three sets 25-13, 25-18, 25-22 to Minnesota Morris on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougars completed the sweep by finishing with a .368 hitting percentage, with a strong start that saw them have a .417 in set one and a .464 percentage in the second set.
MLC committed 24 errors compared to minimal mistakes by the Cougars, who had only four. Mary Cate Ziembiec led Minnesota Morris in kills (10) and aces (4), while Sydney Petersen paced her squad in assists (14) and digs (9).
Molly Fitzsimmons led the way in assists for MLC, picking up 15 in the match and
Anna Kieselhorst recorded 10 digs.
MLC goes to 5-14, 2-4, and will look to bounce back with a road win at Northland on Friday, October 11. at 7 p.m.
