Roseville, MN - The Martin Luther College volleyball team took on the Northwestern Eagles on Saturday afternoon, but Northwestern came out victorious
3-0 for the sweep over the Knights.
Northwestern started to pull away from MLC in the first set towards the middle of the action, as they racked up 15 kills for the 25-18 advantage. The Eagles then claimed the second set 25-13, with the Knights committing 12 errors, and won the final set due to an efficient hitting percentage of .4.
MLC was led statistically in kills by
Lydia Feidt, who finished with seven and
Lauren Paulsen paced the Knights in aces (2), blocks (2), and digs (10).Â
Meanwhile,
Ella Walz led in assists (9) and
Grace Kieselhorst delivered eight of her own, putting her career total to 997 assists. Kieselhorst has a chance to reach the 1,000 career milestone this coming Friday, November 8, at 7 p.m., when the Knights host UW-Superior.
