St. Paul, MN - The Martin Luther College women's cross country team had
four runners named to the All-UMAC team, which was officially announced on Monday. The cross country All-Conference teams are given out to the top 16 finishers from the UMAC Championship that took place on Saturday, where the Knights placed third in the 6K.
Katelyn Mensching capped off her collegiate career at MLC with a First Team selection, placing sixth overall out of 67 runners with a time of 24:20.7. Mensching also earned Second Team in 2023.
Jemimah Habben finished her freshman season First Team recognition as well, coming in eighth overall after crossing the finish line in 24:37.6.Â
Two more MLC seniors received Second Team honors with
Hope Sulzle (15th overall, 25:32.2) and
Maya Habben (16th overall, 25:47.3) making the cut. Habben previously made the All-UMAC First Team in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
The Knights were also given the Team Sportsmanship Award and Mensching was the MLC Individual Sportsmanship winner.
