St. Paul, MN - The MLC volleyball went on the road to face Macalester on Wednesday night before they geared up for the UW-La Crosse tournament this weekend. The Knights fought hard, but were unable to come away with a victory as the Scots swept MLC 3-0.

Macalester took set (25-19) one largely due to the 11 MLC errors compared to just two committed by the Scots. From there Macalester took advantage of 10 MLC errors in the second set to take that one 25-20.

The Scots finished the final set with a .417 hitting percentage that helped them complete the sweep, as they defeated the Knights 25-13.

Nicole Norton led the Scots with 12 assists and two service aces, while Adisa Preston paced Macalester with 10 kills.

Grace Kieselhorst had a team-high in kills (10) and service aces (4), while also finishing second on the squad with seven assists. Lydia Feidt did a nice job defensively, recording six blocks and Ella Walz recorded 14 assists to set up the MLC attack.

MLC (3-8, 0-1) heads to La Crosse for a Friday, September 20, doubleheader where they will play Central College (IA) at 3 p.m. and Nebraska Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
