New Ulm, MN - The Martin Luther College women's basketball team cruised to a
74-36 victory over Northland College on Saturday in front of a good size crowd on Parents' Day.
The Knights bounced back from their road loss on Wednesday to Bethany and had complete control of the game in the first half, going up 44-16 at the break. MLC managed to get all 16 players some playing time on the court in this one and brought in some reserves in the first half even.
MLC earned a few of season highs as a team in today's win, including rebounds (54), steals (24), and made free throws (14). The Knights forced 30 total turnovers and scored 36 points off of them.
Emma Dorn, Lydia Feidt, and
Audrey deBoer finished with three steals apiece. Dorn (10 points) and Feidt ( 9 points) were the leading scorers on the Knights' squad.
MLC improves to 11-5 overall, 5-1 and will travel to Watertown, WI on Monday, January 27, for a 4 p.m. tip off.
