Roseville, MN - The MLC volleyball team took on Northwestern on the road in a UMAC match on Tuesday evening. The Knights gave it another hard-fought effort, but the perennial team atop the UMAC standings, defeated MLC
3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-17).
The Eagles swept the Knights in an efficient manner, boasting an attacking percentage of .330 for the match, including a second set in which they had a hitting percentage of .52. For the match, Northwestern held a 45-23 advantage in kills with three different players reaching double-digit kills. Addeson Jenniges set her teammates up with 40 assists to lead both squads in the match.
MLC was led by
Lydia Feidt, who had a team-high in kills (9) and blocks (4), while
Ella Walz (8) and
Kourtney Zech (7) were the main setters for the Knights' cause.
Anna Kieselhorst recorded the most digs for the MLC team, as Feidt also chipped in with six digs of her own.
MLC will not have a match this weekend as they prepare for another road conference match when they go and play Bethany next Tuesday, October 21, at 7 p.m.
