Mankato, MN - The MLC volleyball played Bethany for its second meeting of the season Tuesday evening on the road. The Vikings swept the Knights
3-0 (25-10, 25-19, 25-14).
The Vikings opened up the match hitting the ball well at a .393 clip on 14 kills and three errors in the first set to take the double-digit victory. Bethany maintained a similar team stat line in the second and third sets to claim the sweep. The Vikings doubled up MLC in assists 39-18 and in kills 41-18, while Abby Distad led all players with 37 assists.
Ella Walz and
Kourtney Zech each delivered eight assists to lead MLC, while
Anna Kieselhorst totaled eight digs to start up the Knights' rallies.
Greta Nolte paced MLC in kills (7) and aces (2) as
Hannah Rodmyre finished up front with four blocks.
MLC will move on to host Buena Vista for a non conference match on Friday, October 24, at 7 p.m.
