Morris, MN - The MLC volleyball team took on Minnesota Morris in an away match on Halloween last night. The Cougars beat the Knights 3-1 in the first meeting between the two squads and Minnesota Morris finished off the season sweep of MLC
3-0 (25-13, 28-26, 25-14) on Friday.
The Cougars controlled the first and third sets, claiming them by double digits in each. For the match, Minnesota Morris didn't make too many mistakes and displayed an attack percentage of .340 on 46 kills.
MLC dug deep in the middle set and challenged the Cougars past the 25-point mark, forcing them to win by two points. In the set, MLC had 16 kills and had a hitting percentage of .273.
Lydia Feidt paced MLC in kills (12) and blocks (3), while
Ella Walz delivered a team-high 19 assists.
Kourtney Zech issued 11 assists and
Anna Kieselhorst recorded the most digs for MLC with 13.
MLC aims to add another W in the win column when they go to Crown College at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
