Mankato, MN - The MLC Indoor Track and Field teams participated in another meet at Minnesota State for the second consecutive Friday as the Knights competed in the Maverick Invite. MLC was up against DII and DIII schools from the state of Minnesota and once again held their own in various events.
Notable MLC men's results:
The MLC men's 4x400 relay team hit a season-best mark of 3:28.31 as
Lucas Holtz, Jeremiah Stanton,
Daniel Ertman, and
Micah Schibbelhut made up the four runners in the event.
Arthur Robinson performed well in another meet. The freshman placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with a PR time of 22.71 seconds and gained a PR in the triple jump (12.88 meters).Â
Stephen Wietzke also hit a PR in the in the 200-meter (22.87 seconds) for eighth, while Holtz had a season-best mark of 23.77 seconds for 13th in the same event as Wietzke.
Schibbelhut placed fifth in the 800-meter, clocking in at 2:05.88, while
Samuel Plocher also earned fifth in the high jump (1.88 meters).
R.J. Perry took 10th in the shot put after a top throw of 13.68 meters and hit a PR mark of 13.02 meters in the weight throw for 17th in that event.
Notable MLC women's results
Naomi Foley took fourth in the 400-meter and had a season-best time of 1:03.56 in the race.
Jemimah Habben also place fourth in the 1-mile run (5:23.91).
Elise Nolte finished in 10th in the shot put after a season-best throw of 11.54 meters, while
Madelinn Romsdahl placed 16th after throwing 10.95 meters. Romsdahl also had a PR in the weight throw (13.12 meters) which put her 18th.
The MLC Indoor Track and Field teams will finish out their season next weekend Friday, February, 28, and Saturday, March 1, at the UMAC Championship.
