St. Peter, MN - The MLC men's outdoor track and field team had an impressive meet at the Drake Alternative hosted by Gustavus on Saturday. The Knights scored 138 total points for third overall for the team results, behind Gustavus (167.5) and Minnesota State (174). Additionally, MLC broke multiple school records and earned five first-place finishes.

MLC school records broken or tied on Saturday:
400m hurdles: Sam Plocher tied school record with mark of 56.82 seconds - (Matt Schniebels - 56.82 set in 1998)
4x400m relay: Matthew Hillmer, Daniel Ertman, Arthur Robinson, Micah Schibbelhut (3:21.75) Previous record was set in 2024
Hammer Throw: R.J. Perry broke his own school record of 42.97m set a few weeks back at Gustavus. On Saturday, Perry tossed 43.90m.

1st-place finishes:
100m dash: Stephen Wietzke (10.89 seconds)
110m hurdles: Plocher (15.35 seconds)
200m dash: Wietzke (21.82 seconds)
5000m run: Eliott Heiderich (16:31.01 PR)
4x100m relay: Hillmer, Lucas Holtz, Robinson, Wietzke (43.50 seconds)

2nd-place finishes:
100m dash: Robinson (11.13 seconds)
200m dash: Robinson (21.84 seconds PR)
