St. Paul, MN - Samuel Plocher was voted the UMAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance in the High Jump at the Minnesota State Open on Saturday, April 12. 

Plocher finished with a personal record (PR) mark in the high jump (2.05 meters), which placed him in second behind Travis Joseph, who had set a meet record with a mark of 2.16 meters. The sophomore also had a season-best time in the 110-meter hurdles (15.06 seconds).

Plocher and the MLC outdoor track and field team will be competing again on Wednesday, April 16, at Gustavus.
