St. Paul, MN - The Martin Luther College men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Hamline Invitational on Saturday, and the Knights were well represented in various events, performing at a high level in the majority of them.
Among the top performances came a couple of record-breaking marks from sophomores
R.J. Perry and
Stephen Wietzke. Perry broke his previous MLC outdoor record in the hammer throw with a mark of 40.57 meters that put him eighth in the event. Meanwhile, Wietzke broke the record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.64 seconds that placed him in fifth. The previous record was held by
Eli Cloute (21.76) set in April of 1998.

Samuel Plocher - 1st in High Jump (2.00 meters), 3rd in 110-meter hurdles (15.46 seconds)
Arthur Robinson - 4th in Triple Jump (12.78 meters), 8th in Long Jump (6.22 meters), 13th in 100-meter (11.26 seconds)
Wietzke - 5th in 100-meter (11.03 seconds)
Perry - 9th in shot put (13.10 meters), 10th in discus (37.67 meters)
Matthew Hillmer - 9th in 400-meter hurdles (59.56 seconds)
Daniel Ertman - 10th in 400-meter (52.06 seconds)
Daniel Reinke - 11th in shot put (12.75 meters)
Isaiah Durkee - 15th in shot put (12.04 meters)
Lucas Holtz - 14th in 200-meter (22.63 seconds)
