La Crosse, WI - The MLC volleyball team played in another early season tournament at UW-La Crosse, squaring off with former UMAC team, St. Scholastica. The Knights played the Saints last Friday at a tournament at Saint Mary's and lost 3-0. Friday night's game ended the same way with St. Scholastica winning
3-0.
St. Scholastica played efficiently once again in this contest, beating MLC 25-16, 25-20, 25-14. The Saints had a hitting percentage of .387 in the second set, but the Knights also committed few errors with just four in the set. However, the Saints rattled off four kills in the final stages of the set to take the 2-0 advantage in the match.
The final set saw MLC commit 10 errors, allowing St. Scholastica to ease into the sweep.
Ella Walz had 21 assists to lead MLC, while
Anna Kieselhorst recorded 12 digs.
MLC will be right back at it with two games tomorrow against Monmouth College (Illinois) at 9 a.m. and the host school, UW-La Crosse at 11 a.m.
