Men's Tennis Predicted to take 4th in UMAC Preseason Poll

St. Paul, MN - The MLC men's tennis team was voted to finish fourth in the UMAC Men's Tennis Preseason Poll, officially announced on Thursday.

The Knights earned 7 points. The polls were voted on by all the head coaches in each respective division. Coaches cannot vote for their own team. 

MLC returns senior Johannes Bourman, who was the No. 1 singles and doubles player for the Knights in 2025. Fellow senior Matthew Koelpin comes back as well after playing as the No. 2 player for multiple contests. Eli Stern, who played at the No. 2 and No. 3 spot for singles and was the other No. 1 doubles player will be back for his junior season.

The top two teams in each division at the close of the regular season will compete in the UMAC Tournament, with the semifinals scheduled for Friday, May 1, and the championship slated for Saturday, May 2. The tournament champion will receive the UMAC's automatic qualifying bid to the 2026 NCAA DIII Men's Tennis Championship to compete in the national tournament.
