St. Paul, MN - MLC men's Indoor Track and Field earned a pair of UMAC Player of the Week awards (Jan. 12 - Jan. 18) as
RJ. Perry (Field) and
Samuel Plocher (Track) were recognized for their performances on Saturday in the Knights' season opener at St. Olaf.
Perry broke two MLC Indoor records that he previously held in the shot put and weight throw. The thrower heaved the shot put 13.98 meters for first place and took another top spot in the weight throw with a mark of 15.18 meters.
Plocher picked up where he left off the past two seasons as the junior took first in the 60m hurdles (8.51 seconds) and T-2nd in the high jump with a mark of 1.94 meters.
MLC Indoor Track and Field will be competing at Macalester College this coming Saturday.
