St. Paul, MN - The 2026 MLC softball team was voted to finish seventh in the UMAC Softball Preseason Poll, officially announced on Wednesday.
The Knights earned 8 points. The polls were voted on by all the conference's head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own team.
Head Coach
Becca Kvam enters her fourth season at the helm of MLC softball. Kvam returns junior
Chloe Berg, who was awarded UMAC Honorable Mention in 2025, playing primarily at first base with some catching responsibilities. Last season, Berg led the Knights in batting average (.392), runs (14), and hits (31).
MLC will also bring back
Chloe Koschnitzke, who was behind the plate for most of 2025 as a freshman. Koschnitzke was third on the Knights in hits (19) and had a fielding percentage of .940.
MLC softball opens up the season with a non-conference game against Crown College on February 20 in the Dundas Dome in Northfield, MN. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m.
