St. Peter, MN - The MLC men's Outdoor Track and Field team competed in their second meet at Gustavus this season and earned three 1st-place finishes.
Jeremiah Stanton had a big day and recorded two of those 1st place results when the senior had a PR in the 110m hurdles (16.02 seconds) and the top spot in the triple jump (13.60 meters).
Stanton was also a member of the MLC 4x100m relay team that placed second with a time of 42.69 (
Donovin Wittenberg, Stephen Wietzke, Arthur Robinson).
Austin Rubendall earned his first collegiate first place result in the javelin with a mark of 48.62 meters.
Jack Pittenger took third in the javelin (46.17 meters).
Wietzke finished near the top again in a couple more events, placing second in the 100m (10.89) and in the 200m with a season-best mark of 21.92 seconds.
Wittenberg finished fourth in the 200m with a PR time of 22.49 seconds.Â
R.J. Perry had another solid meet in the throwing events, taking third in the shot put (14.87 meters) and fourth in the discus (PR 43.07 meters). The Knights had two other throwers finish within the top 10 of the discus, with
Daniel Reinke claiming sixth (42.33m) and
Jesus Medina taking seventh (PR 41.62).
