NEW ULM, Minn. – MLC volleyball has been picked to finish sixth in the preseason UMAC coaches poll, the conference announced Wednesday.

The Knights finished fifth last season with a 3-9 conference record. 

This season, MLC will look to lean on several experienced players to lead the team. 

Senior defensive specialist Anna Kieselhorst had 297 digs and a .953 receiving percentage to pace the team last year. Senior setter Ella Walz had 384 assists. Junior middle Hannah Rodmyre had 77 kills. That trio also combined for 64 aces.

Kieselhorst is just 119 digs away from 1,000 for her career.

Sophomore outside Greta Nolte is the team's leading offensive returner. She had 153 kills and 18 aces last year.

Volleyball gets its season underway at the Ripon College Classic on Sept. 4.
