MANKATO, Minn. - MLC volleyball won the first set against Bethany, but couldn't sustain the momentum, falling 3-1 on the road on Tuesday night.
The Knights grinded out a 27-25 first-set win while hitting an excellent .225. In the next three sets, they hit below .900, inlcuding two sets in which they hit a negative percentage as a team.
The Vikings, conversely, hit much better, including a third-set percentage of .400.
In the fourth set, MLC led by as many as five points when it was 16-11, and led 19-16 later on in the set before Bethany stormed back to win it 25-22.
Greta Nolte had her best outing of the year, recording 10 kills and three solo blocks.
Elsa Brauer led the team in hitting percentage at .211, she had four kills and did not record a hitting error.

Kiara Humann each added seven kills.
Senior
Ella Walz led the team with 15 assists while fellow senior
Anna Kieselhorst had 26 digs.
The Knights made 14 service errors as well as 13 serve receive errors.
