WINONA, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team opened its season with a 9-0 loss at Saint Mary's on Saturday at the Winona Tennis Center.

The Cardinals won the three doubles matches 8-1, 8-2 and 8-0.

In singles, SMU was able to win all six matches in straight sets. 

MLC opened the season 0-1 with the loss, while SMU improved its record to 5-3 on the season with the win.

The Knights will return to action tomorrow (Sunday, February 21), when they play Simpson College at the West Hills Center in Owatonna, Minn. That match is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
