ST. PAUL - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost its match at Northwestern by the final of 9-0 Saturday.

The Eagles started strong in doubles, winning those three matches 8-1, 8-1 and 8-2.

In singles, UNW was able to complete the sweep with straight set wins in all six matches.

MLC fell to 2-8 overall and 2-3 in UMAC play. UNW improved its record to 16-4 on the season and 4-1 in league play with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, April 19, when they travel to Minnesota Morris for a match scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
