NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team won its match against North Central 7-2 on Saturday.

MLC was able to gain a pair of points in the two doubles matches, as the number one team of Justin Marshall and Justin Steinke won 8-3, and the number two team of Josh Koelpin and Philip Schroeder won 8-4.

In singles, the Rams won the numbers one and three matches, but Steinke, Koelpin and Nicolas Gartner each won in straight sets to seal the team victory.

MLC improved its record to 3-10 overall and 3-4 in UMAC play with the win. NCU fell to 3-9 on the season and 3-7 in league play in defeat.

The Knights will return to action on Tuesday, April 26, when they host Northwestern in a match scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
