MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis season ended with a 9-0 loss to Northwestern in the semifinal round of the UMAC Tournament at Baseline Tennis Center on Friday.

The Knights entered the match as the third seed after a third place finish in the conference standings, and faced the second-seeded Eagles.

UNW started the match strong, winning all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-0, 8-1 and 8-3.

In singles, UNW was able to complete the sweep by winning all six matches in straight sets. 

MLC finished the season 6-11 after the loss. UNW advanced to the championship match after improving its record to 22-6 this season.
