MINNEAPOLIS - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost its match 9-0 to St. Catherine at Baseline Tennis Center on Saturday.

The Wildcats took an early 3-0 lead with a doubles sweep by the scores of 8-3, 8-1 and 8-0. 

In singles, St. Kate's was able to sweep all six matches in straight sets. Anna Hemmelman (first seed) and Morgan Shevey (fourth seed) each won four games in the first set of their matches, but weren't able to get any closer.

The Knights fell to 0-3 in the early season with the loss, while the Wildcats improved to 1-2 with the win.

MLC will return to action on February 20 when it travels to Buena Vista for a match scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
