Shevey Scores Lone Point in Loss at CSS

RESULTS

DULUTH, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team lost its match at St. Scholastica on Friday by the final of 8-1.

Morgan Shevey scored the lone point for the Knights, winning her number five singles match in three sets by the final of 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-5).

The Saints opened the match by winning all three doubles matches by the scores of 8-2, 8-1 and 8-5.

In singles, CSS was able to secure the win by taking five of six, with Shevey scoring the one point with her three-set win.

MLC fell to 1-5 on the season and 1-1 in league play in defeat. CSS improved to 10-3 overall and 3-0 in the UMAC with the win.

The Knights will return to action on Sunday, March 26, when they host College of Saint Mary in a match scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
