NEW ULM, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team defeated North Central 9-0 in a home match Thursday.
MLC opened the match with a dominant performance in doubles, winning all three matches by the scores of 8-3, 8-3 and 8-0.
In singles, the Knights won five of the six matches in straight sets, with the sixth win coming via forfeit after an NCU player was forced to retire in the first set.

Molly Paggi each recorded two points for the Knights to earn the sweep.
MLC improved its record to 3-5 on the season and 3-1 in UMAC play with the win. NCU fell to 0-8 overall and 0-5 in conference play in defeat.
The Knights will return to action on Saturday, April 8, when they host Northwestern (Minn.) in a match scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
