MORRIS, Minn. - The Martin Luther College men's tennis team won its non-conference match at Minnesota Morris by the final score of 7-2 on Friday.

The Knights opened the match with a 3-0 sweep in doubles. The number one team of Justin Marshall and Philip Schroeder won 8-5. The second team of Josh Koelpin and Caleb Koelpin took their match 8-2, while the number three team of Ethan Schultz and Justin Steinke won 8-4.

In singles, Steinke, Josh Koelpin, Schultz and Caleb Koelpin each won in straight sets to ensure the team win.

The Knights improved to 2-4 on the season with the win. UMM fell to 0-8 in defeat.

MLC will return to action tomorrow (Saturday, April 8) when it hosts Northwestern (Minn.) in a match scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
