RESULTS
SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team returned to action for the first time in one month and lost a non-conference match at UW-Superior 7-2 on Saturday.
MLC battled in all three doubles matches, but the Yellowjackets came away victorious in all three by the scores of 8-6, 9-7 and 8-3 to take a 3-0 lead in the match.
Anna Hemmelman won her number one singles match in straight sets (6-4, 6-4) to earn the Knights' first point, while
Anastasia Bornschlegl scored the team's other point thanks to a three-set win (5-7, 6-2, 10-7) in number six singles.
The Knights dropped to 1-5 on the season with the loss. UWS improved to 2-5 with the win.
MLC will return to action for the start of UMAC play on April 5 at North Central.
