OWATONNA, Minn. - The Martin Luther College women's tennis team secured a non-conference win over Minnesota Morris by the score of 8-1 at Owatonna Tennis Center on Thursday.

The Knights swept the three doubles matches by the scores of 8-3, 8-2 and 8-3. The top team of Anna Hemmelman and Rachel Riediger led the way, followed by the number two team of Rachel Schewe and Morgan Shevey and the number three team of Ella Loersch and Jessica Stibb.

Hemmelman and Riediger also added singles wins at the top of the singles order. Shevey, Loersch and Stibb scored the other three singles wins in the 4-6 spots in the order.

The Knights improved to 4-6 with the win. UMM fell to 2-5 in defeat.

MLC will return to action on Saturday, April 21, when it plays both St. Scholastica and Bethany Lutheran in a doubleheader at Lifetime Fitness in Lakeville, Minn.
